Community Coalition Building for Intervention Programs
These workshops assist communities in establishing and strengthening coordinated intervention and prevention programs for problems beyond the scope of a single agency. The strategies provided are based on research conducted by Fireproof Children for the Office of Juvenile Justice and the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) on the role of home factors and available social service resources in the juvenile firesetting problem. NASFM has sponsored Community Coalition workshops in 36 states.
The workshop brings together resources and community disciplines critical to effective intervention:
- Fire service
- Mental health
- Educators
- Social services
